What value Gift Cards can I purchase?

Sainsburys Gift Cards come in any value from £5 to £750. The maximum order value is £750.

Can I send a Sainsburys Gift Card to myself?

Of course. Many customers choose to have the Gift Cards delivered to themselves so they can present it as a gift directly to their recipient. You could also keep it for yourself!

Can I send a Gift Card by email?

Yes you can. Visit our eGift Card page to send a Gift Card directly to someone’s email address.

What is the helpline number for online Gift Card purchases?

What will happen after I place my order online?

Once you have placed your order we will send you an email to confirm that it has been received. If you have selected a delivery date in the future, two days before your requested delivery date we will send you another email informing you that your Gift Card has been dispatched. If we are not able to process your order, we will contact you by email.

What payment methods do you accept for Gift Card?

We accept Visa credit cards, Visa debit cards including Delta & Electron, Mastercard, Maestro/Switch and American Express. We also accept Paypal.

What will appear on my debit/credit card statement?

Sainsburys Gift Card orders are processed by Voucher Express. The purchase will appear on your credit/debit card statement as 'Voucher Express'.

Can I include a personal message with the Gift Card?

Yes, you will be given the option to write a personal message when purchasing your Gift Card online. Your message will be printed on the inside of your chosen wallet design.

Where can a Sainsburys Gift Card be spent?

Sainsburys Gift Cards, in £ sterling, can be used in full or part payment for goods in any Sainsburys store in the UK and Northern Ireland and online at Sainsburys.co.uk.

How can a Gift Card be redeemed?

What does my recipient receive?

Your recipient will receive an envelope through the post. It will have enclosed your chosen wallet design with your personal message printed on the inside, along with the value of your gift in Gift Cards.

Is there an expiry date on a Gift Card?

Sainsburys Gift Cards are valid for 2 years from the date of activation.

How can I check the balance and/or expiry date of the Gift Card?

DELIVERY INFORMATION

Do you offer a same day dispatch service?

Same day dispatch is available online for orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday and costs £7.50. If you require same day dispatch delivery, please select this option online or alternatively call 0371 200 1597 to place an order by telephone. If calling from overseas, please dial +44 1765 643128. Calls are charged at the local rate, lines are open Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm and Saturdays 9am to 12:30pm.

Delivery of Sainsburys Gift Cards

• Working days are classed as Monday to Friday and exclude weekends and public holidays. Please note that all delivery dates are estimated and cannot be guaranteed.
• Although most deliveries arrive on the next working day via First Class and Recorded Delivery, please allow up to 10 working days for delivery.
• Please note that we cannot guarantee delivery dates on weekends, Bank Holidays or to International addresses.
• Orders over £50 will require a signature. If there is no one available to sign for the delivery, a calling card will be left with instructions to either collect from the local depot or call the courier to arrange a re-delivery.
• Due to the high volume of orders at Christmas, we advise customers to order early for pre-Christmas delivery. A limited delivery service will be in operation in the week immediately after Christmas.
• We use Royal Mail for the majority of our deliveries but will use other services where appropriate. Delivery charges vary according the value ordered as specified below.
